Cool Stuff: Super Mario Zombie T-Shirt

I’ve sometimes wondered, what happens when to the Mushroom Kingdom when Mario runs out of lives? Apparently he turns into a torn-apart flesh eating zombie, devouring everything that he comes across (stay away Princess Peach!). Well, at least the guys over at singlesecond thinks so, because they designed a shirt that has a large undead mario, eating away at a 1up mushroom on the front. Very cool looking, but yet disturbing at the same time — mostly because Mario is a childhood idol of mine. And seeing your Idol as a zombie feels well…kinda wrong!

The shirt is selling for only $16 and is available from a medium-XXL.

On a side note — how cool would a zombie inspired Mario game be!? It would be better than Mario Sunshine, am I right?

Super Mario Sunshine in Real Life

I think Super Mario Sunshine could easily be one of the worst Mario games to date. I felt the game mechanics was just like Mario 64, but it just added the gimmicky F.L.U.D.D. water gun thingy. It wasn’t a bad game by any means, it just didn’t have the innovation that the other Mario games always seem to include when a new one was released.

But apparently someone decided to make a F.L.U.D.D. because it was spotted somewhere in the world. Like a real life one…and yes I want one. Even though it sucked in the game, it looks mighty damn fun in real life.

I wonder if the guy riding it thinks he can clean the polluted earth!?

Cool Stuff: Mario Bros Mural

File this one under ‘Best Dad Ever’. AustralianGamer.com‘s author Aj and his wife are expecting a new baby boy. Both being gamers, they came to the decision to paint a Mario themed mural on the walls. The project took about two weeks and cost around $100 between paint, brushes, and tape. Be sure to check out Aj’s post to learn his process and to see some photos of the mural being painted.

WTF!?: Mario and Minesweeper?

See more funny videos and funny pictures at CollegeHumor.

I’m not really sure what to think about this video. It simply makes no damn sense. Maybe that’s why I freaking love it. It looks like someone hacked Microsoft’s Minesweeper and somehow made a music video of our favorite video game plumber, Mario.

My friends, is someone being super bored. Thank you who ever did it…

Jon Stewart Wants Us to Stop Playing Super Mario and Vote

At the end of Comedy Central’s the “Daily Show,’ host Jon Stewart was chatting with Steven Colbert via split-screen. At the end of their discussion, Stewart wanted to convince the young people of America to stop playing Super Mario and vote,”Every four years we hear about your vote rocking powers and every four years you stay home and play Super Mario. Not this time!” Stewart said.

Steven Colbert who plays a conservative talk show hosts using satire replied with, “The only plumber you should be thinking about this election is the one trying to save princess Israel,” Referring to Joe ‘The Plumber.’

Little do they know, if Gears of War 2 came out today — I wouldn’t be saving the world from Locust and letting the rest of the country do the voting. But I guess since we all have to wait until Friday to purchase the game, I’ll just vote…

VOTD: Mario on ‘To Catch a Predator’

Dateline: Mario from Eric Grissom

The Pitch: Mario walks into a house while a kid says he’ll be out in a second. Before we know it, Chris Hansen’s ‘brother’ Ted Hansen comes out with Dateline NBC. We think Mario was just there to teach the kid how dangerous the internet can be.

Cool Stuff: What NES Games Would Have Looked Like In 3D

When we first started /gamer almost 2 months ago, one of our first cool stuff features we did was the 3D Super Mario Bros. picture. Today we show you more what Justin Buonvino created at deviantart. The one up top is ‘The Legend of Zelda.’ After the Jump, check out some more.

Cool Stuff: Mickey Mouse and Mario Mashup

A few days ago we brought you a mashup of Master Chief action figure and painted as Samus from Metriod. Now Dave Bondi had the idea to bring two mascots – who could be some of the more famous ones around, and also mashed them up. Obviously, just judging by the picture above, you can tell the characters are Mickey Mouse from Disney, and Mario from Nintendo. Not only did he create this awesome model, he also gave it a name and he’s called Akashi. From what we found on the interwebs, Akashi is the name of a city that is southwest of Honsh, Japan. We’re not sure why he was inspired to name him that, but hey, it’s his creation.

Check out more pictures after the jump.

Harmonica Made out of Super Mario Bros. 3

A gameSniped forum member beastiebri, decided to create his own Harmonica out of an NES game. A few months ago we saw someone else do the same with a Tecmo Bowel game. I’m going to go on record saying, this harmonica is way better, because it’s Super Mario 3.

He really should learn the Mario theme!

Thanks to Gonintendo
