E3 2011: Bunch of Videos for Battlefield 3, How Does it Fair?
Today was a big day for EA‘s Battlefield 3. This marked the first time the game was going to compete for first-person shooter supremacy against its automatic rival, Modern Warfare 3. And don’t you think for a minute big-wigs over at EA aren’t looking to see what the reception is and how people are fairing it, when compared to Activision’s baby.
We have a couple of videos, one trailer up top and another one, along with a walkthrough after the jump. But if you are wondering what I think, let me say this: I’m impressed, but it’s also hard to grasp which first-person shooter will play better.
Undoubtedly, Battlefield 3 has the upper hand in the visuals department. With that said, Modern Warfare seems a bit faster, along with more action on the screen at once, from what I can tell from videos anyway. But then again, Battlefield has more realistic destructible environments, so who the hell knows.
Come Christmas time, I might say “screw it, I’m buying both. ”
Battlefield 3 will be released on October 25, 2011 for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC.
