Nintendo’s Servers Hacked

It’s official, Nintendo of America is the latest company to be cyber attacked. The gaming giant confirmed the crime earlier today, but also went on record by saying no consumer personal data was stolen as a result of the virtual raid.

The server contained no consumer information. The protection of our customer information is our utmost priority,” responded Nintendo, through email. “We constantly monitor our security.”

The hacker organization Lulzsec took responsibility of the attack via Twitter, but their intent was never to impair the videogame company. “We didn’t mean any harm. Nintendo had already fixed it anyway,” read the groups tweet.

Lulzsec is the same crew who broke into the servers run by Sony Pictures last week, and just recently confirmed they attacked PBS’ website and Fox.com
