Beatles: Rock Band to Include The Ed Sullivan Show as a Venue?
On February 7, 1964 The Beatles left their home country and headed to America for the first time as a group. When they landed at JFK International Airport, they were met with 3,000 fans screaming their names. A few days later, the band preformed for the first time ever in America on ‘The Ed Sullivan Show.’ According to reports, as many as 74 million viewers tuned, which was about half the population at the time. After the night was over, the band already established themselves as legendary.
On September 9, 2009, Harmonix plans on releasing The Beatles Rock Band game. The official website for the game, now has a new look and this time we see graphics that replicate the famous stage of The Ed Sullivan Show, with audio that sounds like screaming teenage girls. What this means to anyone who is interested in the game, is it looks like that will be one of the many venues included with the game. If this is a case, what an awesome idea by Harmonix to include such an important time of Rock history.
Up top is that very picture from the website and below is the actual performance. If you compare the video with the picture, Harmonix has done an excellent job of recreating the distinguish stage.
