Play Video Games at… Mcdonalds?

Kotaku received this picture of video game kiosks inside a local Mcdonalds. We’re not sure if this is something that the company has been doing for sometime now, or if it’s new. Although, I could see something like this become available throughout the franchise. Imagine if Mcdonalds partnered up with a publisher, and had an exclusive deal where you could try a demo for the first time, for an anticipated title. You know if it were something you desperately wanted to play, you would head over to the restaurant — and picked up a Big Mac in the process.

Come to think of it, how greasy would the controllers feel? Yuck!

  1. The McDonald’s close to my work here in Burlington, Ontario, Canada has had gamecube in their play place for at least the last 5 years.

  2. McDonalds has been doing this for a loooong time, but obviously not every location does this. You can still play Luigi’s mansion at the McDonalds in Sarasota, FL. However, those controllers are always fucking NASTY.

  3. Our local one has had them for years. Way back into the N64 age.

  4. /gamer, you guys were off the ball on this one. a lot have had these gaming things for years now.

  6. Up here in Canada, McDonald’s has had video games like that for years.

  7. Yeah, Ottawa, ON, CANADA here… We have some that carry them, and some that don’t. But we’ve had them for atleast 6-7 years…!
