Cool Stuff: Modded Mini Arcade Units

[pocket_lucho] over at elotrolado, has really out done himself. The modder did a fantastic job of creating miniature arcade cabinets, but using older gaming consoles. Up top, lucho crammed an actual Sega Genesis into a cabinet that he made from scratch. He even purchased a cheap 5 games-in-one arcade controller and hid it inside the unit, so only the buttons are protruding. Not only did he make a Genesis mini arcade, but also a Turbografix 16, and used a PC emulation engine.

I’m going to be honest, I really wouldn’t do more than try the games on the unit. I’m more impressed of how accurate each cabinet has a retro style feel. The art on the side and front of the machine really stands out, in my opinion.

After the jump, check out pictures of his work and a video of it action.
