The Beatles: Rock Band – 9/9/9

On September 9th, 2009, the Sega Dreamcast will be celebrating its 10th birthday. This calls for a celebration, and who better to headline the shindig than The Beatles! (Insert audio of their hit song “Birthday” here…)
Harmonix recently announced a release date for their sure to be hit, The Beatles: Rock Band for 09/09/09. The team at /Gamer have been excited for this title since the news broke about Harmonix and Viacom pegging the deal with Apple Corps Ltd., back in October of 2008. Within less than a year, this exclusive deal seems to have allowed the creation of a full stand alone title, which will feature a hopefully well picked selection of The Beatles’ all time classic library.
The stand alone title will have a home on many Playstation 3, Xbox 360 and Wii consoles for $59.99 USD as well as a limited edition bundle with the usual Rock Band peripherals for $249.99 USD. And of course, Harmonix plans on shelling out some pre-order exclusives. But, we’ll all have to wait on those details. We have until October, which is plenty of time for Harmonix to build up the hype and drizzle out more game details bit by bit. In the meantime, check out the not-so-informative yet stylishly retro The Beatles: Rock Band official web site. www.thebeatlesrockband.com
