Chinese Democracy Coming to Rock Band in the Spring
It might have taken almost 15 years for Guns N’ Roses sixth album Chinese Democracy to hit stores, but it’s only going to take months for it to available in Rock Band. While speaking with Billboard, lead singer Axl Rose confirmed that the album will be available as downloadable content for Harmonix’s rhythm game on February 28, 2009.
However an MTV spokesperson confirmed that Axl Rose was mistaken and the DLC will be made available sometime in the spring.
This is another win for Rock Band and their ongoing war with Guitar Hero; on what game will be the king of the music genre. It also shows how much bands and musicians want to be included in one of the two games, because the amount of money involved is proven to be more profitable than selling albums.
