“Mega Artist” Soon to be Announced for Rock Band

We have been invited to a special Rock Band 2 event somewhere in San Francisco. These types of things are common — it’s a great way for the media to get a hands on preview and talk to the team behind the game. This time around we get to play with some tracks that will be made available soon that has already been announced to the public.

However, while reading the invite, we noticed one thing that was mentioned in the description. Here is what was written;

“In addition, you’ll get to preview new tracks from an…unnamed mega artist one day before the public release.”

What exactly does EA and Harmonix have in store for us? If it just said an unnamed artist, I might have skipped over it. But as soon as I read “MEGA,” I decided to post it. At the same time, one would have to assume that when they write artist — it won’t be a band and will be some kind of famous singer. But who? Bob Dylan? Bob Marley? Hannah Montana? Who knows, either way — you might want to keep your eyes pealed.

  1. wikipedia lists Lenny Kravitz and Steve Miller band on Jan 13th and 20th respectively. if your event is a day before one of theses, then there you go…

  2. I hope its Paul McCartney.

  3. I really hope its Milli Vanilli!

  4. That will be Ozzy! ;)

  5. how about listing WHEN this event is….

  6. Right now I don’t want to do that — however I will say its sometime soon…

  7. My money is on Prince.

  8. Gonna have to go with U2 (depending on when this event is of course, seeing as Kravitz and Steve Miller have been set for the next couple of weeks).

    But Bono & co. were on a leaked DLC list a while back and with a new album coming out, it seems like it would be as good a time as any to put those tracks up (even though the ones listed came from Joshua Tree).

  9. My bet is Lenny Kravitz since that was rumored to be coming soon, but not officially announced. But I can always hope it’s Def Leppard even though that’s a band.

  10. MEGA artist means a single person. Not a band.

  11. Since when is Hannah Montana considered a “MEGA” artist ???

  12. let’s hope for Green Day!
